Hello HGA Members,
Wow! The year has gone quickly, and it is time to plan and organize our HGA Annual Meeting and Fundraiser. This event will be held on October 2, 2021 from 11 to 2pm at the ARL (same location as the last 2 years). We will have the fenced in play area for the greyhounds to run off leash with the help of volunteers and a Boy Scout troop to watch our 4 legged family members. In addition to the play area, we will have Smokey D’s BBQ, new HGA merchandise, vendors, board members elections and the silent auction.
This event brings in about 25% of our yearly donations. In the past few years, we have had wonderful individuals come forward with amazing donations to be sold at the silent auction. We are looking for individuals who are interested in donating items to be auctioned and/or contacting businesses who would be interested in donating. The greyhound community is a strong, passionate group; and I know if we work together, we can make this years silent auction one of a kind. If you have questions and would like to help, please email HGAsectretary.aol.com.
Board Member Positions up for Election
Every year we hold an election for new board members. This year the positions available are: Treasure and 2 Members-at-Large. If you are interesting in becoming more involved with HGA please consider one of these positions and send a bio to HGAsecretary@aol.com.
We are looking for businesses who would be interested in a table for this event. If you are an individual who has be small business and would like to participate at this event, please message me.
If you are interested in volunteering for the event, please message me. We need help on Friday evening set up and Saturday (lots of options like games, check in, merchandise table, clean up, etc.)
I want to take a moment to thank all of you. Everyone of you make up HGA and are why HGA is an amazing organization. You are wonderful greyhound owners and ambassadors of the breed. Also, I thank everyone who has volunteered and fostered a greyhound. Fosters are the backbone of HGA and play an essential role in adjusting the greyhound to a new life and a home. Thank you again to all who have HGA past, present, and future.
