8:30-9:00
Guest Check In
Prairie Beach Wedding guests to check in, pick up goodies and programs. In lieu of wedding gift donations for foster dogs will be accepted. Donations needed: bedding, toys, treats, canned & dry food, collars, muzzles, frontline, comfortis, heartguard, gift cards, cash etc.

8:30 - 2:00
Food Booth
Heartland Greyhound Adoption will be providing breakfast options with a free will donation. Lunch will be provided on sight by Have Pig Wheel Travel. Mark will grill up some great fixin’s from his pink pig grill.


Silent Auctions
9:00 – 4:00
Silent Auction Items will be on display, there will be 3 separate silent auctions throughout the day. Come view the items that have generously donated.

9:00 - 3:00
Photo Contest Voting
Prairie Beach guests are invited to bring photos along with them for our contest. Prizes will be given out for the different categories: Best Roach, Funniest and Most Paws in Photo. Winners to be announced and prizes given at 4:15.

9:00 ‘til they are gone
Straw Draw
Three straws for $1, you could win 1, 2, or 3 prizes on one dollar or you might draw 3 slips that say, Sorry….thanks for the donation. There are lots of prizes to win from big to small. Give lady luck a chance.

9:00 – 12:00
Photos
Katherine McClure Photography will be taking photos of the ceremony. Following the wedding Prairie Beach guests can have family portraits taken with their hounds! Photos will be available after the event on her website www.katherinemcclurephotography.com. A portion of your photo purchase will benefit HGA. Thanks Kat!

9:15- 10:00
Wedding Ceremony
Jorene King, President of Heartland Greyhound Adoption, will give a welcome, do introduction, and officiate over the ceremony.


10:30– 11:00
Sylvia's Costume Contest with a Wedding Theme
Greyhounds and their owners show off their finest in wedding themed costumes for the judges. Guests are asked to be prepared to give or have read an explanation of their attire. Winners will be announced and prizes given at 1:15.

11:00-11:30
Long Lost Twin
Guests and their greyhounds are encouraged to begin mingling and find their greyhound’s twin. Twins will be judged at 11:30 and the best match will be announced and prizes given at 1:15

11:45-12:00
Golden Oldies
Everyone is invited to participate and honor the oldest Greyhounds at Prairie Beach! -Golden Oldie- racing silks will be awarded to the oldest male and female hounds in attendance at the event.

Silent Auction Round 1 Closes
Winners of round one will be announced at 12:15.

Roos!
All guests are encouraged to join in a group Roo as our lunch bell!

Lunch Break
Lunch items will be available earlier but we are offering a lunch break for those that want to go elsewhere for lunch. If you want something different, there are several restaurants in Altoona. Ask a Prairie Beach volunteer for options.

Winners of the Twins & Costume Contest will be announced and prizes given.

Peanut Butter Eating Contest
For hounds with fast tongues the Peanut Butter Eating contest.

Silent Auction Round 2 Closes
Winners of this round will be announced at 2:15.

2:00-2:30
Cool Down
Time for greyhounds and humans to take a moment and cool down with water, popsicles and ice cream, a sprinkler for the dogs will be set up south of the shelter.


2:30-3:15
Guest Speaker
Dr. Mike Henning DVM will be our guest speaker. He will be discussing those pesky little critters that feed and make our pets ill.

3:15-3:45
Greyhound Bowling
Greyhound Bowling--a must for those bulldozer hounds.

3:45-4:30
Taste Testers Competition
The Bride’s Taste Tester, if you have a greyhound that will east anything this is the game for you. Ten items for tasting will be offered. You pick 5 for the first round. If your greyhound cleans his or her plate then you advance to the remaining 5 items. The greyhound or greyhounds that eat all ten or the most, will win a prize.
